The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jabota SC's Luís Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Koehler in the 4th minute of play. When Marcel Hermes came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Jabota SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel Hermes couldn't finish the play. After 7 played minutes Luciara FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Moreira. Marcel Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Campidelis having to interfere. Jabota SC's Luís Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Koehler in the 30th minute of play. Alexandre Campidelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umberto Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Remo Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Luís Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remo Koehler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remo Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Reginaldo Novaes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Luís Quadros made a huge save. Cauan Gaúcho hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Reginaldo Novaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Luís Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Umberto Pereira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Umberto Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Jabota SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umberto Pereira couldn't finish the play. Umberto Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Alexandre Campidelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Luciara FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Campidelis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcel Hermes. The Jabota SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Quadros should have stopped the shot. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
