Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sabino Schmidt started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elano Quintal in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaime Valadares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ibitiuva SS's Jaime Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elano Quintal in the 5th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agenor Lara during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Agenor Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Júlio Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Leopoldo Guimarães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Júlio Almeida having to make a save. A collision led to Ibitiuva SS getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Emílio Pena hit a great ball. Humberto Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Leopoldo Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Almeida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Humberto Pernambucano in the 31st minute. After 37 played minutes Ibitiuva SS got a freekick which was hit by Ademir Leão. Júlio Almeida made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Humberto Pernambucano sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Guimarães cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Júlio Almeida was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Ibitiuva SS's zone, Sabino Schmidt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Valadares came out of the goal and Sabino Schmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 59 played minutes Ibitiuva SS got a freekick which was hit by Ademir Leão. In the 67th minute, Gilberto Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sabino Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Jaime Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 74 played minutes Aleluia SC got a freekick which was hit by Dinei Gaspar. The Ibitiuva SS fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Ibitiuva SS's Leopoldo Guimarães looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Leopoldo Guimarães scored 3-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júlio Almeida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th match minute, Ibitiuva SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademir Leão to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute Sabino Schmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademir Leão in the 90th minute of play. Leopoldo Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Júlio Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
