Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) TacaraCatica FC's Edmílson Borges started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Novo Hamburgo's Durvalino Mendonça got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Edmílson Borges ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Pająk was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Novo Hamburgo's goalkeeper Jan Pająk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 9th match minute, Novo Hamburgo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Tande to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, TacaraCatica FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Tande came free, but Rodolfo Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fred Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Dorival Pinheiro could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Rodolfo Queiroz however easily saved by the left post. Edmílson Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Jan Pająk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Alan dos Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Pająk was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 34 minutes into the match, Dorival Pinheiro notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of TacaraCatica FC's Rodolfo Queiroz. Rodolfo Queiroz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edmílson Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Jan Pająk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Fred Tande made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Edmílson Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Novo Hamburgo's goal looked a bit too open when Edmílson Borges came free, but Jan Pająk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmílson Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Novo Hamburgo's Jan Pająk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Borges in the 64th minute of play. Edmílson Borges scored 1-3 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Pająk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Novo Hamburgo's Edvaldo Torres got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 74 minutes, Fred Tande mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Novo Hamburgo and the TacaraCatica FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of TacaraCatica FC booed when Novo Hamburgo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Novo Hamburgo's goalkeeper Jan Pająk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anselmo de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jan Pająk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alan dos Santos got free with Jan Pająk in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute Alan dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Pająk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. TacaraCatica FC's Rodolfo Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Tande in the 90th minute of play. Novo Hamburgo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Edmílson Borges scored to the left of an out of position Jan Pająk, making the score, 1-4. When the final whistle sounded TacaraCatica FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Novo Hamburgo.
