The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Loureiro got free with Júlio Salgado in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes into the match, Miguel Arantes notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Medeiros's Lauro Queirós. Lauro Queirós was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Miguel Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Júlio Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Pacova's goal looked a bit too open when Edson de Godoy came free, but Júlio Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
