Gino de Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco de Senna having to interfere. After 6 played minutes Itacaramby SC got a freekick which was hit by Yan Gaúcho. A hard shot by Alexandre Araújo from long distance, 6 minutes into the match, got Glauco de Senna's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Horácio Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Itacaramby SC's Glauco de Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Itacaramby SC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manfredo Marquez during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute, Manfredo Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ediberto dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Hudson Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmir Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Alfredinho Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itacaramby SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredinho Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Prata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Walmir Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glauco de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ediberto dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Limoeiro's Glauco de Senna threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Silvério Rossi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Ediberto dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silvério Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Glauco de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arí Simões stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Itacaramby SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gino de Lara came free, but Glauco de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Itacaramby SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alexandre Araújo was slow to take the kick. During this time Limoeiro's players had a chance to rest. Dieguinho da Fonseca made a great header on Limoeiro's corner, it was just that Itacaramby SC's Glauco de Senna managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 61 minutes, Gino de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limoeiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gino de Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Limoeiro reached it. Juan Prata made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walmir Barral in the 65th minute. After having played for 68 minutes, Ediberto dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limoeiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ediberto dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ediberto dos Santos struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Glauco de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limoeiro. After 74 minutes of play, Limoeiro's Silvério Rossi made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Glauco de Senna was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juan Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arí Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Glauco de Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ediberto dos Santos in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Glauco de Senna saved Itacaramby SC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredinho Melo during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Francisco Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Alexandre Araújo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Glauco de Senna. Itacaramby SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Limoeiro's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
