An unexpectedly hard shot by Ediberto dos Santos in the 25th minute of play forced Camboapina's goalkeeper João Paulo Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vânderson Mendonça received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juan Prata came out and tried to block the shot, but Vânderson Mendonça slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 26th minute. In the 29th match minute, Camboapina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romário Salles to maneuver through the defense. In the 30thth minute of the game Ediberto dos Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Camboapina's João Paulo Couto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Camboapina's zone, Silvério Rossi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Paulo Couto came out of the goal and Silvério Rossi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 53 minutes, Vágner Bueno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Camboapina and the Limoeiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vágner Bueno hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Ediberto dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Manfredo Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the game, André Luiz Moreno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Camboapina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Limoeiro the free kick. André Luiz Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Juan Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olavo Toscano in the 62nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Camboapina's Olavo Toscano got a free kick in the 66th minute. Ediberto dos Santoss short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got João Paulo Couto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ediberto dos Santos got free with João Paulo Couto in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dieguinho da Fonseca's late challenge caught a Camboapina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dieguinho da Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Camboapina booed when Limoeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dieguinho da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
