Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Manfredo Marquez got the match started through his kick off. Waldir Cunhas short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Giovani Guedes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 8 played minutes Rodrigada SS got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Simão. Araucaria's Leonel Xavier couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 8th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rodrigada SS. In the 9th minute, Gilson Novaes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute of the match, Manfredo Marquez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Giovani Guedes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Waldir Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Giovani Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Araucaria booed when Rodrigada SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waldir Cunha struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Giovani Guedes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araucaria. 25 minutes into the match, Rodrigada SS's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo Marquez came free, but Giovani Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waldir Cunha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giovani Guedes having to make a save. Rodrigada SS's Giovani Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfredo Marquez in the 30th minute of play. Araucaria's Válter Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe de Amaral in the 36th minute of play. When Fábio Diniz came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Rodrigada SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Diniz couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute Felipe de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Araucaria's zone, Felipe de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Válter Medeiros came out of the goal and Felipe de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, Rodrigada SS's goalkeeper Giovani Guedes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Waldir Cunha. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Felipe de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rodrigada SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe de Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Válter Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fábio Diniz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Giovani Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir Cunha in the 57th minute of the match. Válter Medeiros was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Sydney Azevedo. In the 69th minute Waldir Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waldir Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfredo Marquez in the 77th minute of play forced Rodrigada SS's goalkeeper Giovani Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Waldir Cunha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Giovani Guedes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manfredo Marquez scored 3-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giovani Guedes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giovani Guedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldir Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, Felipe de Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Waldir Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 96 played minutes Rodrigada SS got a freekick which was hit by Baltazar de Carvalho. 97 minutes into the match, Rodrigada SS's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Cunha came free, but Giovani Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 99 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rodrigada SS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leonel Xavier was slow to take the kick. During this time Araucaria's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Leonel Xavier almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rodrigada SS's Giovani Guedes did a great save. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Araucaria had played much better football throughout.
