In the 6th match minute, Vikings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Diniz to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the match, Eme SC's Nilmar Tavares broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 9 minutes into the game, Pedro Paulo Vasconcelos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ricardinho Almeida. Pedro Paulo Vasconcelos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ricardinho Almeida made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Pedro Paulo Vasconcelos sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th match minute, Vikings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior Marques to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Maurinho Campidelis put in a rough tackle. When the match had been going on for 25 minutes, Eme SC's Nilmar Tavares got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ricardinho Almeida. Giuseppe Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Mário Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Eme SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto das Neves came free, but Mário Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 42 minutes, Jacinto das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vikings's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardinho Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Moreno in the 45th minute of the match. Ricardinho Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelinho Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelinho Alvarenga made a kick off. Roberto do Vale hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The Eme SC fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Eme SC's Marcelinho Alvarenga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 55 played minutes Vikings got a freekick which was hit by Giuseppe Queiroz. 58 minutes into the game, Eme SC's Marcelinho Alvarenga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardinho Almeida made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After some careless play in the Vikings defense, Ernesto Moreno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardinho Almeida. The Vikings fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardinho Almeida should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd minute Pedro Paulo Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardinho Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vikings's Ricardinho Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelinho Alvarenga in the 76th minute of play. Humberto Diniz hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Vikings's Jacinto das Neves got a free kick in the 84th minute. Pedro Paulo Vasconcelos took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardinho Almeida. Ricardinho Almeida dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Humberto Diniz hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Eme SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
