Xie Kun Fan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. José Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Alexandre Faustino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xie Kun Fan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Pena might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandre Faustino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Pena ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd play minute Clemente Brodel came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alexandre Faustino. 1-1. In the 26th minute José Pena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Faustino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xie Kun Fan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertino Proença in the 45th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Anhandui's José Pena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Faustino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Pena to make the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Clemente Brodel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itapeacu's Alexandre Faustino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Itapeacu booed when Anhandui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernani Vianna charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernani Vianna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Anhandui getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ernani Vianna hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, Itapeacu's Kauã Arruda broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Xie Kun Fan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertino Proença in the 61st minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Anhandui's José Pena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandre Faustino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Doni Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Itapeacu defense, Ernani Vianna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexandre Faustino. The Itapeacu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexandre Faustino should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Pena in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Faustino saved Itapeacu from getting behind. Anhandui's Xie Kun Fan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Proença in the 87th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Anhandui fans cheered their team off the field, for while Itapeacu had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
