In the 8th minute Sílvio Luiz Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Volpi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jardel Penha struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Cacá Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Athletico Paulinho. A very good chance for a goal. 21 minutes into the match, Clube Athletico Paulinho's goal looked a bit too open when Dênis Leite came free, but Thiago Volpi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guajara FC reached it. If Zé Roberto Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cacá Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Penha in the 29th minute of play. Clube Athletico Paulinho's Thiago Volpi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cícero Arruda in the 33rd minute of play. Jardel Penha might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cacá Rocha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jardel Penha ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Guajara FC's goalkeeper Cacá Rocha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jardel Penha to make the kick off. Thiago Volpi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cícero Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Dênis Leite's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Thiago Volpi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
