He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Luizinho Botelho. 10 minutes into the game, Júlio Furlan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Válbson Ramalho couldn't finish the play. If Válbson Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Hílton Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celeste SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hílton Paraíba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luizinho Botelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Evaristo Eger took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised André Maranhense. André Maranhense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Waldir Furlan scored 2-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luizinho Botelho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hílton Paraíba in the 28th minute of play forced Taitinga FC's goalkeeper Luizinho Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Taitinga FC's Luiz Fábio Souto got a free kick in the 29th minute. The supporters of Taitinga FC booed when Celeste SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldir Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Nicolas Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taitinga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Válbson Ramalho made a kick off. The supporters of Celeste SC booed when Taitinga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 51st minute of the match Maurício Gaspar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luizinho Botelho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luiz Fábio Souto charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Fábio Souto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. André Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Evaristo Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taitinga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Eger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicolas Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. André Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Taitinga FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Celeste SC.
