Profeta EC's Oséas Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Couto in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Oscar Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the game, Rômulo Cordeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Profeta EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tijucal SC the free kick. In the 16th match minute, Profeta EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rômulo Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. Adrianinho Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto França in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto França in the 19th minute of play forced Tijucal SC's goalkeeper Adrianinho Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrianinho Santana came out of the goal and Alberto França tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Alberto França managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Profeta EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto França was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Tijucal SC booed when Profeta EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vitório Terra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alberto França to strike the kick off in the second half. Adrianinho Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Linhares in the 52nd minute of play. William Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Alberto França's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adrianinho Santana was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. After 58 minutes, Alberto França made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. In the 65th minute, Rômulo Cordeiro made a precise shot to the right of Adrianinho Santana. Tijucal SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. When Geovanni Zanette fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tijucal SC's protests and gave Geovanni Zanette a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. Profeta EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto França was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrianinho Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Profeta EC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
