Vitório Mello stood somewhat misplaced when Adelino Hermes came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 3 minute. Charqueadense's Narciso de Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Paes in the 11th minute of play. Adelino Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th match minute, Gelo EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mazinho Diniz to maneuver through the defense. After 21 played minutes Gelo EC got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Gerber. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caio do Valle got free with Vitório Mello in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Charqueadense's Diamantino Massa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Danilo Cruz in the 24 minute of the game. Gelo EC's Vitório Mello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Gelo EC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Gelo EC's Gabriel Gerber got a free kick in the 27th minute. Orlando Galvão might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vitório Mello. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Galvão ran back to his position shaking his head. Danilo Cruz made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Charqueadense's Alan Bastos. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gelo EC's goalkeeper Vitório Mello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Caio do Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Vitório Mello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Gelo EC's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Hermes came free, but Vitório Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Gabriel Gerber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gelo EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Charqueadense the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gelo EC's Gabriel Gerber got a free kick in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Adolfo Souza to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Charqueadense got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Massa. Caio do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dráusio Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vitório Mello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Gelo EC got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre de Andrade. Charqueadense's attentive Luisão Arce managed to snatch the ball when Agostinho do Vale made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. Vitório Mello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dráusio Amaral in the 76th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, Luisão Arce was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Charqueadense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gelo EC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Charqueadense's Luisão Arce got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adelino Hermes during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Gelo EC booed when Charqueadense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Agostinho do Vale threw the ball into play from the sideline. Charqueadense's Luisão Arce quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Adelino Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Mello having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Filipe Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Charqueadense had played much better football throughout.
