Dalmo Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Baiano in the 46th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Elói Baiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dalmo Rezende. Tipucu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elói Baiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antônio de Amaral to make the kick off. Adriano Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benê Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. With an all-out effort, Leque SC's Dalmo Rezende threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Antônio de Amaral, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Leque SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elói Baiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmo Rezende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 63rd match minute, Tipucu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséas Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. Antônio de Amaral struck a weak shot in the 65th minute.
