In the 4th minute, Evandro de Godoy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Apuiares fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Henrique Fontes made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Joel Ihintza sent off a good shot on target. If Joel Ihintza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Ihintza was extremely unlucky when he, in the 14th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Joel Ihintza did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Henrique Fontes 16 minutes into the match. Joel Ihintza's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Henrique Fontes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Luís Carneiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Henrique Fontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Ihintza's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. The supporters of MeninoMeuFC booed when Apuiares was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro de Godoy didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, MeninoMeuFC's goal looked a bit too open when Aleandro Proença came free, but Marcinho Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luisinho Faria's late challenge caught a Apuiares's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luisinho Faria helped the player get up and apologised. Joel Ihintza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Henrique Fontes made a huge save. Henrique Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The supporters of MeninoMeuFC booed when Apuiares was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Ihintza in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Henrique Fontes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Ihintza to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Joel Ihintza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Apuiares's zone, Joel Ihintza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrique Fontes came out of the goal and Joel Ihintza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute, Aleandro Proença left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Ihintza in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrique Fontes saved Apuiares from getting behind. After 75 played minutes MeninoMeuFC got a freekick which was hit by Gino Dias. Tiago Leme's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcinho Trevisan firmly grabbed it by the left post. Henrique Fontes came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by MeninoMeuFC's Joel Ihintza. But to his dismay, Joel Ihintza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. When Joel Ihintza came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the MeninoMeuFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Ihintza couldn't finish the play. Christian Pereira might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrique Fontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christian Pereira ran back to his position shaking his head. Henrique Fontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Ihintza's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute.
