Gabriel de Souza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raphael de Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 2nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Totora FC's Cícero Duarte got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute, Cícero Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5th minute of the match Mesut Özil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raphael de Queirós showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hernani Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. When Gabriel de Souza came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Clube de Regatas MEC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel de Souza couldn't finish the play. Guga Souza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sérgio Carneiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. If Augusto Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ezequiel Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Guga Souza made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Giovani da Silveira sent off a good shot on target. Cícero Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Gabriel de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube de Regatas MEC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel de Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raphael de Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 34 minutes into the game, Clube de Regatas MEC's Augusto Moura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raphael de Queirós made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Augusto Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael de Queirós having to interfere. Gabriel de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Augusto Moura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clube de Regatas MEC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Clube de Regatas MEC's Ezequiel Loureiro got a free kick in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giovani da Silveira in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guga Souza saved Clube de Regatas MEC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giovani da Silveira in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guga Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 58 minutes into the match, Totora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Moura came free, but Raphael de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael de Queirós having to interfere. After having played for 81 minutes, Augusto Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube de Regatas MEC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Augusto Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Augusto Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube de Regatas MEC's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raphael de Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Totora FC's zone, Augusto Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raphael de Queirós came out of the goal and Augusto Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
