Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edgard Rodrigues started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Zacarias Campidelis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raimundo Almeida. Rueiros's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zacarias Campidelis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 11 minutes into the game, Chinela's Edgard Rodrigues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raimundo Almeida made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, Rueiros's Cícero Veloso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waldemar Paranaense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Rueiros booed when Chinela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cido Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Cláudio Dionísio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Waldemar Paranaense. The goal made the score 1-2. Waldemar Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Ernani Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Waldemar Paranaense made a huge save. When Cido Pombal fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chinela's protests and gave Cido Pombal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th match minute, Chinela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cido Pombal to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Chinela's goalkeeper Waldemar Paranaense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cícero Veloso. Rueiros's Cláudio Dionísio got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cícero Veloso was the one to do the kick off. Ernani Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zacarias Campidelis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Raimundo Almeida made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Baptista in the 59th minute of play forced Chinela's goalkeeper Waldemar Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chinela were furious when Zézinho Zilles was red carded, 61 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Dudu Aparecido shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Cícero Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th minute, William Borges ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldemar Paranaense was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Cícero Veloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waldemar Paranaense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cláudio Dionísio in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waldemar Paranaense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Chinela defense, Cícero Veloso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldemar Paranaense. The Chinela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldemar Paranaense should have stopped the shot. Rueiros's Ernani Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Rueiros's Raimundo Almeida got control of the ball when Zacarias Campidelis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Chinela's Zacarias Campidelis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raimundo Almeida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rueiros's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
