Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nico Braga started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, Walmir Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Cláudio Dionísio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of BANZAI TIMAO FC's Jailson Tasso. Jailson Tasso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. BANZAI TIMAO FC's Jailson Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Dionísio in the 15th minute of play. Cícero Veloso took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jailson Tasso. Jailson Tasso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Cláudio Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jailson Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cícero Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute Ernani Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, BANZAI TIMAO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cícero Veloso came free, but Jailson Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cícero Veloso to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, BANZAI TIMAO FC's Pedro Paulo Oliveira got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute Cláudio Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jailson Tasso made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Cícero Veloso sent off a good shot on target. 77 minutes into the match, BANZAI TIMAO FC's goalkeeper Jailson Tasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cícero Veloso. Cláudio Dionísio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jailson Tasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. When Walmir Pena fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BANZAI TIMAO FC's protests and gave Walmir Pena a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rueiros booed when BANZAI TIMAO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmir Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nico Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Raimundo Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jailson Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Dionísio in the 87th minute of the match. With a little luck, BANZAI TIMAO FC's Jailson Tasso got control of the ball when Cícero Veloso tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Cláudio Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Ernani Alcântara took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Jailson Tasso to make any attempt to save it. Rueiros played a much better game than BANZAI TIMAO FC and deserved their victory. The BANZAI TIMAO FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
