Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luiz Eduardo de Alcântara kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Tales da Cunha notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Limoeiro Do Norte's Andrézinho Mendonça. Andrézinho Mendonça was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 7 minutes into the match, Curinhaem's goal looked a bit too open when Rafa Tinoco came free, but Edgard Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dráusio Paraíba hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After 18 played minutes Limoeiro Do Norte got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Tinoco. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tião Vinhas in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrézinho Mendonça prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tales da Cunha struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Andrézinho Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curinhaem. In the 27th minute Ian Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrézinho Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Andrézinho Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Limoeiro Do Norte's Andrézinho Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tião Vinhas in the 36th minute of play. Perivaldo Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgard Quadros made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Igor Baiano sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute, Luiz Eduardo de Alcântara fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ian Pimenta was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th match minute, Limoeiro Do Norte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Baiano to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute Ian Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrézinho Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tales da Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tales da Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 62 played minutes Curinhaem got a freekick which was hit by Tales da Cunha. Edgard Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafa Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Andrézinho Mendonça didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tião Vinhas went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Edgard Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafa Tinoco in the 76th minute of play. After 79 minutes of play, Limoeiro Do Norte's Rafa Tinoco made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgard Quadros was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andrézinho Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Pimenta in the 84th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Baiano in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgard Quadros saved Curinhaem from getting behind. Edgard Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Limoeiro Do Norte's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
