Jorge Brasil started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Brasil in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrézinho Mendonça saved Limoeiro Do Norte from getting behind. In the 12th minute Rafa Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erivaldo Salgado's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Andrézinho Mendonça firmly grabbed it by the left post. Luiz Eduardo de Alcântara hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Teodoro Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Eduardo de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodoro Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo de Alcântara in the 19th minute of play. The wind increased when Luiz Eduardo de Alcântara made the kick off in the second half. Andrézinho Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Brasil in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Limoeiro Do Norte's goalkeeper Andrézinho Mendonça, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Igor Baiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 63 minutes of play, Limoeiro Do Norte's Luiz Eduardo de Alcântara made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodoro Mattos was left in no man's land by his defense there! 67 minutes into the match, Rafa Tinoco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Teodoro Mattos, 0-4. Teodoro Mattos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Baiano in the 80th minute. João Francisco Pereira was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 83rd minute, João Francisco Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Francisco Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Douglas Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Jorge Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESCOLHIDOS FOOT. CLUB's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrézinho Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see ESCOLHIDOS FOOT. CLUB lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
