The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Dito Furtado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sindre Storhaug was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in KarkaraCaucaiense City's zone, Chico Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiaguinho Cunha came out of the goal and Chico Marinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to KarkaraCaucaiense City getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Dito Furtado hit a great ball. When Augusto Novaes fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KarkaraCaucaiense City's protests and gave Augusto Novaes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Manoel Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. KarkaraCaucaiense City's João Augusto Braga got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Grêmio Charqueadas's Sindre Storhaug played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Freire in the 23rd minute of play. Sindre Storhaug took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Augusto Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Dito Furtado had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Edinho Gonçalves fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio Charqueadas's protests and gave Edinho Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Grêmio Charqueadas getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Edinho Gonçalves hit a great ball. Luiz Guilherme Freire took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sindre Storhaug. Sindre Storhaug dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 36 minutes into the match, João Augusto Braga notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Grêmio Charqueadas's Sindre Storhaug. Sindre Storhaug was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chico Marinho was the one to do the kick off. João Augusto Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Guilherme Freire blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sindre Storhaug having to make a save. The supporters of KarkaraCaucaiense City booed when Grêmio Charqueadas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chico Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Manoel Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio Charqueadas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manoel Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Grêmio Charqueadas defense, João Augusto Braga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sindre Storhaug. The Grêmio Charqueadas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sindre Storhaug should have stopped the shot. Tiaguinho Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 89 minutes, Nuno Penha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Charqueadas and the KarkaraCaucaiense City players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of KarkaraCaucaiense City booed when Grêmio Charqueadas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grêmio Charqueadas's Manoel Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tiaguinho Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Manoel Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
