In the 9th minute, Amílton Romero fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Geraldo de Medeiros, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raúl de Sousa got free with Geraldo de Medeiros in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Alex Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. CCDCFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Nunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geraldo de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the match, Raúl de Sousa notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Real Parque FC's Geraldo de Medeiros. Geraldo de Medeiros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. CCDCFC's Amílton Romero got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Genílson Miranda's late challenge caught a CCDCFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genílson Miranda helped the player get up and apologised. Genílson Miranda hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Guilherme Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geraldo de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl de Sousa in the 27th minute of play. With a little luck, Real Parque FC's Geraldo de Medeiros got control of the ball when Raúl de Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute, Sílvio Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the last second Geraldo de Medeiros throw himself and got hold of the ball when Raúl de Sousa in the 35thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Raúl de Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Tadeu Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CCDCFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Raúl de Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geraldo de Medeiros having to make a save. Tadeu Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo de Medeiros having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dinei de Amorim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, CCDCFC's Marco Capixaba got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Christiano Linares fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 55th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Zé Paulo Ortiz charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zé Paulo Ortiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Real Parque FC booed when CCDCFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Paulo Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei de Amorim in the 62nd minute of play forced CCDCFC's goalkeeper Wilton Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tadeu Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geraldo de Medeiros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Álvaro de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Paulo Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Real Parque FC's Genílson Miranda got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Genílson Miranda off the ground. In the 82nd match minute, Real Parque FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Amílton Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo de Medeiros having to interfere. In the 91st minute of the match Christiano Linares sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilton Gaúcho skillfully saved the ball.
