Ernesto Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Ibiapora's João Furtado got control of the ball when Gilvan Madureira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kléber Baiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Paulo Cordeiro having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavinho Senna in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Paulo Cordeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kléber Baiano in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Paulo Cordeiro saved Família Silva FC from getting behind. A collision led to Família Silva FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Aníbal Gonçalves hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, João Vítor Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio Sanches in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute Flavinho Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vinícius Braga's late challenge caught a Ibiapora's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vinícius Braga helped the player get up and apologised. Vinícius Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Flavinho Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ibiapora fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kléber Baiano was the one to do the kick off. Aníbal Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Furtado having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilvan Madureira in the 56th minute of play forced Ibiapora's goalkeeper João Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eugênio Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugênio Sanches scored 1-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Furtado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Flavinho Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugênio Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ibiapora's Kléber Baiano got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eugênio Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. João Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ibiapora's Flavinho Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Família Silva FC's Eugênio Sanches in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ibiapora's goalie prevented a goal. Luizão Trancoso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luís Paulo Cordeiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Luizão Trancoso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 93rd minute. After having played for 96 minutes, Eugênio Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Família Silva FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugênio Sanches was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Ibiapora left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Família Silva FC.
