Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugênio Sanches to make the kick off. In the 87thth minute of the game Manuel Leme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Família Silva FC's Luís Paulo Cordeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. II Vasco II were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Família Silva FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antônio Carlos Magalhães took the corner. After taking down the ball on II Vasco II's corner Antônio Carlos Magalhães fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luís Paulo Cordeiro quite easily take care of the ball. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Manuel Leme sped through Família Silva FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Paulo Cordeiro. The supporters of Família Silva FC booed when II Vasco II was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball.
