Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fábio Fernandes took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ruy Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duarte da Silva in the 3rd minute of the match. Ruy Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfredo Valladares in the 9th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Manfredo Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itumirim's supporters rose to their feet, but Manfredo Valladares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruy Vides breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Duarte da Silva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ruy Vides having to make a save. Itumirim's Manfredo Valladares got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruy Vides took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lions FC's Vitório das Neves got a free kick in the 26th minute. Lions FC were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Itumirim's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Giuseppe Sergipano took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Fellipe Montenegro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elias Gonçalves quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lúcio Medeiros made in the 39th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Lions FC's Carlos Fernando Sampaio. After a rather tough play, Itumirim's Fernandinho Quadros got a free kick in the 40th minute. A collision led to Lions FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Fábio Fernandes hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manfredo Valladares to strike the kick off in the second half. Manfredo Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Vides having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuseppe Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. Fábio Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Elias Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Lúcio Medeiros threw the ball into play from the sideline. Lions FC's Carlos Fernando Sampaio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 61st minute, Carlos Fernando Sampaio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lions FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 64 played minutes Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Barreto. After having played for 70 minutes, Manfredo Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itumirim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manfredo Valladares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fábio Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lúcio Medeiros made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Lions FC's Carlos Fernando Sampaio. Manfredo Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ruy Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Itumirim booed when Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Carlos Fernando Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Duarte da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Ruy Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Itumirim players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lions FC.
