The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dorian Zonta during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 9 played minutes Romualda EC got a freekick which was hit by Dorian Zonta. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maicon Braga in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Germano Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Germano Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Germano Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balisa FC. Maicon Braga was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Balisa FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Dorian Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Balisa FC's Yuri Furtado tried to score from far away in the 42nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Caetano Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maicon Braga was the one to do the kick off. Caetano Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Saldanha having to interfere. If Maicon Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Germano Saldanha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maicon Braga's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Caetano Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Germano Saldanha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Caetano Paraibano took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Germano Saldanha. Germano Saldanha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Germano Saldanha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maicon Braga's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Romualda EC's Germano Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon Braga in the 88th minute of play. Valdir Arósio hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
