Toninho Veloso was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 3rd minute. Fumo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Jardin SC booed when Fumo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Guilherme de Alcântara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caetano de Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Bernardo Fantini struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Cléberson Lucas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jardin SC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Germano Silveira during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jardin SC's Dino Brasil couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Fumo. Bernardo Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléberson Lucas having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Caetano de Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fumo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caetano de Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caetano de Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Guilherme de Alcântara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Fumo booed when Jardin SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Toninho Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute.
