Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Artemio Donio took the kick off in the first half of the match. Artemio Donio struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Júlio Secco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ponta da Praia FC. Júlio Secco came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Ponta da Praia FC's Luizinho Velloso. But to his dismay, Luizinho Velloso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Base-Velha FC's Arí Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artemio Donio in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio Secco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 13 minutes into the match, Base-Velha FC's goalkeeper Júlio Secco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luizinho Velloso. Artemio Donio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With splendid footwork Artemio Donio arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 18th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Luizinho Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ponta da Praia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luizinho Velloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. William Secco took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiago Neves. Tiago Neves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Samuel Oskarbi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 35 minutes into the match. When Matías de Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Ponta da Praia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matías de Carvalho couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Base-Velha FC's zone, Artemio Donio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Secco came out of the goal and Artemio Donio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Base-Velha FC's Júlio Secco got control of the ball when Artemio Donio tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Luizinho Velloso came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Ponta da Praia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luizinho Velloso couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute, Artemio Donio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

The wind increased when William Secco made the kick off in the second half. If Artemio Donio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Donio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Júlio Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Artemio Donio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júlio Secco was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. If Artemio Donio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Donio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Base-Velha FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Giovani Lima hit a great ball. Júlio Secco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexsandro de Godoi in the 66th minute of the match. If Matías de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Artemio Donio made a precise shot to the right of Júlio Secco. Base-Velha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Artemio Donio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Secco having to interfere. William Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Tiago Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ponta da Praia FC booed when Base-Velha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aloísio Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artemio Donio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ponta da Praia FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
