Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Erasmo Trancoso took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Fernandinho Soares came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Corinthians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernandinho Soares couldn't finish the play. Fernandinho Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo França having to interfere. Fernandinho Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Valdo França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cícero Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Rozal SC's Valdo França got control of the ball when Cícero Bittencourt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valdo França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Rozal SC's zone, Fernandinho Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdo França came out of the goal and Fernandinho Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fernandinho Soares got free in front of the goal in the 24th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Valdo França was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Erasmo Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Fernandinho Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Corinthians booed when Rozal SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reynaldo Tróia during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Reynaldo Tróia hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Pedro Augusto Marquez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdo França read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernandinho Soares made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goalkeeper Fernandinho Meirelles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bebeto de Medeiros. Bebeto de Medeiros was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. Rozal SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Rozal SC's Durvalino Alcântara got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 71st minute, Erasmo Trancoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Pedro Augusto Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Corinthians's zone, Bebeto de Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernandinho Meirelles came out of the goal and Bebeto de Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rozal SC's Valdo França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandinho Soares in the 80th minute of play. In the 86th match minute, Rozal SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Reis to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Corinthians's zone, Bebeto de Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernandinho Meirelles came out of the goal and Bebeto de Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94thth minute of the game Erasmo Trancoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corinthians's Fernandinho Meirelles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erasmo Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corinthians's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
