A beautiful save bye Gurgueia's goalie prevented a goal. The Luisiania EC fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Luisiania EC's Orlando Garcia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vitinho de Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Barros in the 9th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Luisiania EC's zone, Hamílton da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitinho de Sousa came out of the goal and Hamílton da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 14 minutes, Maurinho Maciel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luisiania EC and the Gurgueia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maurinho Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Horácio Barros struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Vitinho de Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gurgueia. Horácio Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Vitinho de Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enéas das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Arce having to interfere. Orlando Garcia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto Arce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute Luisiania EC were awarded a corner. Falcão Baiano went to the cornerflag to take it. Falcão Baiano made a great header on Luisiania EC's corner, it was just that Gurgueia's Fausto Arce managed to reach the ball for a save. Orlando Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Luisiania EC's Enéas das Neves in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The crowd rose to their feet as Enéas das Neves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fausto Arce. That made the score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play. Fausto Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmo Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

53 minutes into the game, Luís Terra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gurgueia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luisiania EC the free kick. Fausto Arce came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Luisiania EC's Enéas das Neves. But to his dismay, Enéas das Neves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Orlando Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the game, one of Gurgueia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Luisiania EC a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Falcão Baiano, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gurgueia's Fausto Arce. 4-0. After 70 minutes of play, Luisiania EC's Orlando Garcia made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fausto Arce was left in no man's land by his defense there! Orlando Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Fausto Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Hamílton da Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When Célio Dias fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gurgueia's protests and gave Célio Dias a yellow card for diving instead. Enéas das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Fausto Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Gurgueia getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Horácio Barros hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gurgueia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 100th minute. Penalty! Luisiania EC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
