Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joel Guerra took the kick off in the first half of the match. Clemente Viana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Josué Cavalcante went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Sandro Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Washington Valle having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Indio's Dito Duarte got a free kick in the 10th minute. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Laércio Fontes put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Clemente Viana. Washington Valle made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Victor Maranhense sent off a good shot on target. Joel Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Novaes SC booed when Indio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Indio fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Indio's Josué Cavalcante looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 29 played minutes Indio got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Mello. Victor Maranhense's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Washington Valle skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Maranhense got free with Washington Valle in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joel Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clemente Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josué Cavalcante in the 46th minute of play. Sandro Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Novaes SC booed when Indio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Joel Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 59 played minutes Indio got a freekick which was hit by Valério Tavares. Indio's Washington Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Guerra in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Josué Cavalcante left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Indio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Washington Valle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Guerra went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandro Siqueira during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th minute, Glauco Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Novaes SC's goalkeeper Clemente Viana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Laércio Fontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clemente Viana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laércio Fontes ran back to his position shaking his head. Sandro Siqueira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Clemente Viana when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Clemente Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josué Cavalcante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josué Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Clemente Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Indio could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Novaes SC throughout the match.
