Carlos Novaes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernandão Loyola went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edson Velasco during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Feirinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agenor Mendes to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Fernandão Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Aílton Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 played minutes Feirinha got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fernando Lago. 17 minutes into the match, Feirinha's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandão Loyola came free, but Carlos Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Galo Azul's Aílton Simão in 22 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Carlos Novaes guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Edson Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Simão in the 27th minute of play. Feirinha's Carlos Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandão Loyola in the 39th minute of play. Fernandão Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Carlos Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fernandão Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aílton Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernandão Loyola to make the kick off. Duarte Lucas came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Feirinha's Laerte Perez. But to his dismay, Laerte Perez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Fernando Lago during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 64th match minute, Feirinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fernando Lago to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton Simão in the 66th minute of the match. Mateus Fantini let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 71st minute shot 2-4 at rihgt post. With his leg Carlos Novaes managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Galo Azul's Aílton Simão fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Aílton Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Feirinha's Carlos Novaes got control of the ball when Aílton Simão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aílton Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Carlos Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Novaes was a little too slow when Fernandão Loyola got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 2-6.
