The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Duarte Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Meirelles in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th match minute, Camburi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Carioca to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Camburi's Umberto Nogueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duarte Lucas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luciano Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duarte Lucas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luciano Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. Camburi's César Custódio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandão Loyola in the 14th minute of play. César Custódio was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Raphael Romero capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Raphael Romero really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Raphael Romero hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Galo Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Cauan Camargo came free, but Duarte Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Galo Azul's Duarte Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Nogueira in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Galo Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Sousa came free, but Duarte Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Aílton Simão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cauan Camargo during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cauan Camargo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. When Delfim Leme fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Camburi's protests and gave Delfim Leme a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Camburi getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Delfim Leme hit a great ball. Cauan Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the game, Matías Ramalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galo Azul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Camburi the free kick. After a rather tough play, Galo Azul's Matías Ramalho got a free kick in the 39th minute. César Custódio made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Aílton Simão sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Umberto Nogueira to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes Galo Azul's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luciano Sousa who took care of the corner kick. Delfim Leme was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Duarte Lucas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umberto Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Galo Azul fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Galo Azul's Aílton Simão looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. César Custódio came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Galo Azul's Aílton Simão. But to his dismay, Aílton Simão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Galo Azul's zone, Umberto Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duarte Lucas came out of the goal and Umberto Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Umberto Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Camburi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umberto Nogueira couldn't finish the play. Cauan Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Umberto Nogueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Duarte Lucas made a huge save. 90 minutes into the match, Aílton Simão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of César Custódio. Camburi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aílton Simão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Galo Azul's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
