Eliézer Santana started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliézer Santana in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Vítor Arantes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Macucos booed when Brama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Falcão Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonel Simões's late challenge caught a Macucos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Simões helped the player get up and apologised. José Vítor Arantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olívio Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimir Tinoco made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Pedro Luiz Pinho sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Macucos's Samuca Rossi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vladimir Tinoco. Vladimir Tinoco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otávio Marques in the 23rd minute of play forced Macucos's goalkeeper José Vítor Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cláudio Cruz during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Macucos's Cláudio Cruz got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 26 minutes, Eliézer Santana made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Macucos's José Vítor Arantes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Luiz Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Deivid Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliézer Santana struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. José Vítor Arantes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brama. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcus Oliveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Macucos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hílton Lopez to maneuver through the defense. When Cláudio Cruz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. In the 67th minute, Brama's Falcão Tepedino seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Falcão Tepedino the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Brama protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Falcão Tepedino had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Brama's Ramiro Machado was substituted for Otávio Marques. In a very dangerous position, a player in Brama fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Eliézer Santana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of José Vítor Arantes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Brama's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Macucos had won, even though Brama had held more of the ball.
