Votuporanga Victory's Carlos Augusto Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgar Dante struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Adelino de Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EONBONGO FC. After a defensive mix-up in Votuporanga Victory's zone, Edgar Dante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adelino de Castro came out of the goal and Edgar Dante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronaldo Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino de Castro having to interfere. Adelino de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Dante in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Edgar Dante notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Votuporanga Victory's Adelino de Castro. Adelino de Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th minute, Carlos Augusto Corrêa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricardo Hermes. The goal made the score 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Augusto Corrêa got free with Ricardo Hermes in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute, Edgar Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Votuporanga Victory's Igor de Toledo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Aloísio Fontes in the 44 minute of the game. When Rafa Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the EONBONGO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafa Ramalho couldn't finish the play. A collision led to EONBONGO FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Rafa Ramalho hit a great ball. Carlos Augusto Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Votuporanga Victory getting a freekick after 84 minutes play.
