The audience was convinced that Guga Zanette's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Luiz Cavalcante was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. 40 minutes into the match, Vasto AD's Guga Zanette sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luiz Cavalcante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Carlinhos de Godoi made a precise shot to the right of Cauã Prestes. Vasto AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 71st minute, Jânio Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jânio Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Cauã Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Secco in the 85th minute of the match. Cauã Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Jorge de Amaral was shown his second yellow card after 93 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Cauã Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlinhos de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Many of Vasto AD's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Vasto AD may have spent more time on the ball, but Susto AD were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
