After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Rogério Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ricardo Oliveira Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luís Pontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes into the game, Sydney Pirani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ricardo Oliveira Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachocha FC the free kick. Tiaguinho Araújo might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Luís Pontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiaguinho Araújo ran back to his position shaking his head. Durval Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cachocha FC were furious when William Pirani was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Ricardo Oliveira Club booed when Cachocha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cachocha FC's zone, Pedro Luís Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luís Pontes came out of the goal and Pedro Luís Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Durval Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Pedro Luís Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Oliveira Club's Hendi Raturandang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Caldeiro in the 28th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Durval Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricardo Oliveira Club's Rogério Peixoto got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute Tiaguinho Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Durval Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Pontes having to interfere. Durval Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Pedro Luís Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rogério Peixoto to make the kick off. The referee ignored Cachocha FC's protests and gave Ademir Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Ademir Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute Ricardo Oliveira Club were awarded a corner. Pedro Luís Gaspar went to the cornerflag to take it. Pedro Luís Gaspar made a great header on Ricardo Oliveira Club's corner, it was just that Cachocha FC's Pedro Luís Pontes managed to reach the ball for a save. If Tiaguinho Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Durval Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Eger hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After 68 minutes of play, Ricardo Oliveira Club's Durval Lima made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Luís Pontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Durval Lima struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Pedro Luís Pontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ricardo Oliveira Club. If Antônio Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogério Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Durval Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Durval Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Oliveira Club played a much better game than Cachocha FC and deserved their victory. The Cachocha FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
