The supporters of Itacaja SS booed when Chatuba de Mesquita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willian Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tarcisio Duarte during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes Chatuba de Mesquita got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Duarte. Patrick Valadares's late challenge caught a Itacaja SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Valadares helped the player get up and apologised. Patrick Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Reinaldo Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Galvão having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Téo Hermes to strike the kick off in the second half. Donato Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovanni Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. If Téo Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Valadares was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 91st minute of the match, Delfim Pinheiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedrão Galvão was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Pedrão Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Pitta, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The Itacaja SS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
