In the 6th minute Jarbas Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Paulo Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusébio Paraíba in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Paulo Tasso saved Roncadeira from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusébio Paraíba in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Paulo Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roncadeira's Zé Paulo Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Paraíba in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Roncadeira's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eduardo Favoretto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mané Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válter Abraão in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes in the game Jerônimo Paraibano did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Nelson Mota. In the last second Zé Paulo Tasso throw himself and got hold of the ball when Eusébio Paraíba in the 22ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Eusébio Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Eusébio Paraíba sped through Roncadeira's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zé Paulo Tasso. After some careless play in the Roncadeira defense, Jarbas Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Paulo Tasso. The Roncadeira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Paulo Tasso should have stopped the shot. After 32 played minutes AC Metropol got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Paraíba. Eusébio Paraíba who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Zé Paulo Tasso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Jarbas Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Metropol's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarbas Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Paulo Tasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Eusébio Paraíba sped through Roncadeira's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zé Paulo Tasso. AC Metropol's Mané Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válter Abraão in the 41st minute of play. Roncadeira's Válter Abraão got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, AC Metropol's Eusébio Paraíba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Paulo Tasso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eusébio Paraíba to strike the kick off in the second half. Zé Paulo Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusébio Paraíba in the 51st minute of the match. Jarbas Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Zé Paulo Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54thth minute of the game Eusébio Paraíba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Roncadeira's Zé Paulo Tasso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Patrick Recife came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the AC Metropol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Recife couldn't finish the play. If Jarbas Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roncadeira's Zé Paulo Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Paraíba in the 58th minute of play. After some careless play in the Roncadeira defense, Luiz Eduardo Pinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Paulo Tasso. The Roncadeira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Paulo Tasso should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the match, Big Machado notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Roncadeira's Zé Paulo Tasso. Zé Paulo Tasso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Roncadeira's Geovanni Marques got a free kick in the 66th minute. Luiz Eduardo Pinho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zé Paulo Tasso. Roncadeira's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusébio Paraíba in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Paulo Tasso saved Roncadeira from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Roncadeira's zone, Patrick Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Paulo Tasso came out of the goal and Patrick Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Eduardo Pinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Paulo Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Eduardo Pinho ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 79 minutes, Jarbas Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Metropol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarbas Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patrick Recife blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Paulo Tasso having to make a save. In the 87th minute, 비 사 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Roncadeira's zone, Patrick Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Paulo Tasso came out of the goal and Patrick Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 97 minutes, Eusébio Paraíba made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. Roncadeira's Zé Paulo Tasso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. AC Metropol had played much better football throughout.
