Toninho Trevisan kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Clemente Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardinho Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caio Sanches's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bernardinho Magalhães firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to FC Xmem getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Fernando Severo hit a great ball. When Juvenal Vander came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Donje-Ljubinje fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juvenal Vander couldn't finish the play. If Toninho Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Clemente Mazza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Xmem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clemente Mazza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caio Sanches in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardinho Magalhães saved Donje-Ljubinje from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match Toninho Trevisan climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-1 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Stig-Arne Nyström. Pedrinho Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 87 minutes, Pedrão Dante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Xmem and the Donje-Ljubinje players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Xmem's Pedrão Dante got a free kick in the 87th minute. Juvenal Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldo Arce scored 1-2 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stig-Arne Nyström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Donje-Ljubinje's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
