Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Betão Cearense started the match with the kick off. After having played for 12 minutes, Betão Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jeitosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betão Cearense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Túlio Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Diniz in the 23rd minute of play. Rubinho Pirani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Wágner Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, one of Jeitosa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jeitosa. Gualter Vargas shot the penalty kick right outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubinho Pirani in the 43rd minute of play forced Jeitosa's goalkeeper Wágner Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wágner Cordeiro made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Raphael Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Rubinho Pirani made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Alcântara in the 52nd minute of play forced Jeitosa's goalkeeper Wágner Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Magno Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gualter Vargas lost his temper 57 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mapirunga SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! 72 minutes into the match, Mapirunga SC's Douglas Viana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wágner Cordeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 79 minutes into the game, Mapirunga SC's Douglas Viana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wágner Cordeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Douglas Viana hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Adrianinho de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Douglas Viana in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wágner Cordeiro saved Jeitosa from getting behind. Mapirunga SC's Raphael Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
