Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gilvan Guerra kicked off to start the match. Tibúrcio de Sena stood somewhat misplaced when Gilvan Guerra came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 3 minute. In the 8th minute Edvaldo Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitinho Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Acurui fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! Tibúrcio de Sena went to the wrong direction when Alan Paraibano was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Vitinho Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvaldo Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. A collision led to Odaze getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Cláudio Tepedino hit a great ball. Sílvio Luiz Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Montenegro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvaldo Paraíba in the 22nd minute of play forced Odaze's goalkeeper Vitinho Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tibúrcio de Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ademar Gaspar in the 23rd minute. Odaze's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alan Paraibano in the 25th minute. Ademar Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tibúrcio de Sena having to interfere. Tibúrcio de Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Edvaldo Paraíba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edvaldo Paraíba struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Vitinho Montenegro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Acurui. Vitinho Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luiz Netto in the 36th minute of play. After 39 minutes of play, Acurui's Edvaldo Paraíba made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vitinho Montenegro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cláudio Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tibúrcio de Sena having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edvaldo Paraíba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Sílvio Luiz Netto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vitinho Montenegro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 62 minutes into the game, Edvaldo Paraíba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Acurui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Odaze the free kick. After a rather tough play, Acurui's Edvaldo Paraíba got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Luís Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Acurui booed when Odaze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chicão Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 70 minutes of play Acurui's Edvaldo Paraíba was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Edvaldo Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. If Sílvio Luiz Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Luiz Netto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Vitinho Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitinho Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Sílvio Luiz Netto sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd minute, Chicão Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vitinho Montenegro acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 82nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Zacarias Coelho. A collision led to Acurui getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Eriberto Linhares hit a great ball. When Gilvan Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Odaze fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilvan Guerra couldn't finish the play. Sílvio Luiz Netto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Odaze getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Cláudio Tepedino hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Acurui walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
