An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Derwin in the 3rd minute of play forced Odaze's goalkeeper Vitinho Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the game, Samuca Fantini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Graxaim Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Odaze the free kick. In the 6th minute, Samuca Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute, Alan Paraibano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Odaze's goalkeeper Vitinho Montenegro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Gilvan Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baltazar Mineiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Montenegro having to interfere. When Alan Paraibano fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Odaze's protests and gave Alan Paraibano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Graxaim Esporte Clube booed when Odaze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Mineiro in the 28th minute of play forced Odaze's goalkeeper Vitinho Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilvan Guerra's late challenge caught a Graxaim Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilvan Guerra helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Odaze getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gilvan Guerra hit a great ball. When Graxaim Esporte Clube's Baltazar Mineiro in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Odaze's goalie prevented a goal. Abel Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão Maia in the 35th minute of the match. Baltazar Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Graxaim Esporte Clube's Abel Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Graxaim Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Baltazar Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Graxaim Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Baltazar Mineiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitinho Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Baltazar Mineiro made the kick off in the second half. Odaze's Vitinho Montenegro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Odaze from getting a goal against them. Abel Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademar Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baltazar Mineiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Montenegro having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Baltazar Mineiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vitinho Montenegro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The nice shot from Baltazar Mineiro in the 79thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Vitinho Montenegro had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Baltazar Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Vitinho Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Odaze's Vitinho Montenegro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Odaze from getting a goal against them.
