José Maria Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Samuel Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Maria Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Branco in the 17th minute of the match. Rubinho Domingues's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, José Maria Loyola skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Samuel Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maria Loyola having to interfere. In the 31st minute Renato de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sericita FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Renato de Castro 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Amílton Rossi hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Benedito Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedito Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sericita FC's Benedito Reis got a free kick in the 38th minute. Amílton Rossi struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Chiquinho Tróia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sericita FC. In the 43rd minute, Samuel Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Joel Ferreira fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sericita FC's protests and gave Joel Ferreira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sericita FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Joel Ferreira hit a great ball. Rubinho Domingues fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 47th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Renato de Castro was the one to do the kick off. Sericita FC's José Maria Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Branco in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato de Castro in the 56th minute of play forced Sericita FC's goalkeeper José Maria Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sericita FC's zone, Samuel Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Maria Loyola came out of the goal and Samuel Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Renato de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cleiton Rosado got free in front of the goal in the 61st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Chiquinho Tróia was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Nelson Valle's late challenge caught a Sericita FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nelson Valle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Nelson Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the game, BRASILIENSE FC's Renato de Castro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Maria Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Samuel Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. José Maria Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chiquinho Tróia made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Amílton Rossi sent off a good shot on target. Amílton Rossi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Chiquinho Tróia made a huge save.
