After a rather tough play, Goitizeiro's João Pedro Zilles got a free kick in the 5th minute. If Egídio Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Futideia FC booed when Goitizeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elói Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Goitizeiro's Elder Netto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Goitizeiro from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute, Claudinho Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 played minutes Goitizeiro got a freekick which was hit by Elói Bertassi. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nildo de Toledo got free with Elder Netto in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elder Netto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nildo de Toledo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Eduardo Falcão recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elder Netto. Eduardo Falcão showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. If Nildo de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th match minute, Goitizeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Gustavo de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Elói Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Alfredinho Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduardo Falcão got free with Elder Netto in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute, João Pedro Zilles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elder Netto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lars Nordstedt in the 43rd minute. Lars Nordstedt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elder Netto came out and tried to block the shot, but Lars Nordstedt slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elói Bertassi made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Eduardo Falcão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elder Netto. Goitizeiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eduardo Falcão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Alfredinho Dracena made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Pedro Zilles in the 58th minute. Elder Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei de Moraes in the 65th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lars Nordstedt in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elder Netto saved Goitizeiro from getting behind. Elder Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Pires in the 69th minute of play. Alfredinho Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Bertassi in the 73rd minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Luiz Gustavo de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goitizeiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Gustavo de Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claudinho Penha hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Futideia FC's Egídio Linhares got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elder Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Nordstedt in the 90th minute of the match. Goitizeiro's Elder Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Falcão in the 91st minute of play.
