After 6 played minutes ROTA 66 got a freekick which was hit by Nando Goiano. 7 minutes into the match, Cássio Mendonça sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Geovanni Paes threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Cássio Mendonça this time. With a little luck, ROTA 66's Geovanni Paes got control of the ball when Marquinhos Cearense tried to sneak it across the goal line. When ROTA 66's Cássio de Alcântara in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Santos's Tiago Gabriel Ceresso got a free kick in the 21st minute. Guga Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Branco having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marquinhos Cearense got free with Geovanni Paes in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marquinhos Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Paes having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Marquinhos Cearense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geovanni Paes. ROTA 66's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marquinhos Cearense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vágner Koehler to strike the kick off in the second half. Geovanni Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Cearense in the 54th minute of play. Ernesto Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Santos's zone, Cássio de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Branco came out of the goal and Cássio de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marquinhos Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Geovanni Paes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cássio de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 71 minutes into the match, ROTA 66's Cássio de Alcântara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hílton Branco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Santos's Vágner Koehler got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geovanni Paes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marquinhos Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Paes having to interfere. ROTA 66's Guga Figueiredo got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Geovanni Paes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vágner Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Guga Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Branco having to interfere. ROTA 66's Geovanni Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Cearense in the 98th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
