Inesopolis's Tadeu de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Moraes in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Guilherme Soeiro in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olavo de Godoy saved Apiahy from getting behind. Inesopolis's Tadeu de Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Inesopolis from getting a goal against them. Ronaldo de Souza who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Tadeu de Barros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Luiz Guilherme Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gilvan Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo de Godoy having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Guilherme Soeiro to make the kick off. In the 61st minute, Luiz Guilherme Soeiro fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Olavo de Godoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Leonel Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olavo de Godoy was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Thiago Gerber. Olavo de Godoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Galvão in the 87th minute of the match. When Gilvan Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Inesopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilvan Abraão couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute of the match, Luiz Guilherme Soeiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Olavo de Godoy saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ronaldo de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Tadeu de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
