In the 4th match minute, Trombucas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Umberto Branco to maneuver through the defense. After 6 played minutes Cumari EC got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor da Silveira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Paraibano in the 8th minute of play forced Trombucas's goalkeeper Wesley Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iuri Prado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Aníbal Mendes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Wesley Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maria Prestes in the 11th minute of the match. Josué Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aníbal Mendes having to interfere. Aníbal Mendes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Umberto Branco in the 16th minute of the match. Josué Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Aníbal Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wesley Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria Prestes in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Sandrinho Gonçalves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wesley Quirino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Aníbal Mendes was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Josué Queirós capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Josué Queirós really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Iuri Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aníbal Mendes having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, José Maria Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trombucas's supporters rose to their feet, but José Maria Marinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aníbal Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wesley Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Cumari EC's Bruninho de Andrade got a free kick in the 41st minute. 44 minutes into the match, Umberto Branco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aníbal Mendes, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Maria Prestes was the one to do the kick off. Wesley Quirino made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Sandrinho Gonçalves sent off a good shot on target. Trombucas's Wesley Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Maria Prestes in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Sandrinho Gonçalves reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wesley Quirino. The goal made the score 2-2. If Umberto Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Cumari EC's Sandrinho Gonçalves slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wesley Quirino. That made the score 2-3 after 65 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Branco in the 72nd minute of play forced Cumari EC's goalkeeper Aníbal Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Umberto Branco made a precise shot to the right of Aníbal Mendes. Cumari EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iuri Prado in the 76th minute of play forced Cumari EC's goalkeeper Aníbal Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aníbal Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oséas de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sandrinho Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wesley Quirino having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Trombucas's goal looked a bit too open when José Maria Prestes came free, but Wesley Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Branco in the 92nd minute of play forced Cumari EC's goalkeeper Aníbal Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cumari EC's goalkeeper Aníbal Mendes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sandrinho Gonçalves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Wesley Quirino made a huge save. Trombucas's Wesley Quirino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Trombucas from getting a goal against them.
