The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lúcio Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Mugiwaras AL FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Abreu couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in TOT UNITD's zone, Lúcio Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beto Viana came out of the goal and Lúcio Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Kiko Costa came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Mugiwaras AL FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kiko Costa couldn't finish the play. In the 24th minute of the match TOT UNITD got a corner. Mugiwaras AL FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Almir Moraes ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on TOT UNITD's corner Almir Moraes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Flavinho Viana quite easily take care of the ball. Abelardo França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th match minute, TOT UNITD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Neves to maneuver through the defense.

A collision led to Mugiwaras AL FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Dino Ferraz hit a great ball. Mugiwaras AL FC made a substitution. Marcelinho Chaves replaced Edgard Vides. In the 89th match minute, TOT UNITD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zézinho Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. Flavinho Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo França, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Beto Viana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kiko Costa in the 93rd minute. Many of Mugiwaras AL FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mugiwaras AL FC may have spent more time on the ball, but TOT UNITD were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
