Clemente Vale hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 10 minutes, Monjolos's Aloísio Silveira got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Adhemar Braga. After 17 played minutes Abbadia got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Pires. Abbadia's Adhemar Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luiz dos Santos in the 22nd minute of play. Adhemar Braga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guilherme Moraes in the 25th minute. Wilton Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Adhemar Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Tiago Gabriel Berger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Monjolos's zone, José Pontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cléberson de Brito came out of the goal and José Pontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cléberson de Brito had great luck who in the 55thth minute grab hold of the ball when José Pontes from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. José Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléberson de Brito having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Luís Fabiano Correia could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Cléberson de Brito however easily saved by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guilherme Moraes during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 76 minutes into the match, Abbadia's Renato Ceresso broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience was convinced that José Pontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cléberson de Brito was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Monjolos had played much better football throughout.
